Leading countries in the space sector have announced their moon landing plans in 2020, which marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Some of them have even formed a space force to protect national security, which in turn has benefited their aerospace and national defense industries. US and European companies have been deploying massive low earth orbit satellite systems at an unprecedented speed, resulting in explosive growth of the space industry. The Taiwanese government has also outlined six core strategic industries for 2020 with the aim to drive greater integration of military and civilian technologies and improve manufacturing capabilities in the private sector, thereby gaining a foothold in the global aviation and space industries. This report analyzes business opportunities in the space industry and its industrial development.
