The Taiwanese Tablet Industry 4Q 2017

The report finds that the Taiwanese tablet industry's shipment volume enjoyed both sequential and year-on-year growth in the third quarter of 2017, reaching 17.1 million units. MIC also finds that nearly 60% of the tablets had screen sizes between 8" and 9" in the third quarter of 2017, up from 44% in the same quarter of 2016. However, with the pressure from phablets persisting, the industry's shipment growth is anticipated to stay lukewarm in the first half of 2018.
