The Taiwanese Server Industry 4Q 2017

The report finds shipment volume of the Taiwanese server system industry at the full system/barebones and board levels grew year-on-year and sequentially in the third quarter of 2017, to 975,900 units. Bolstered by the rise in demand for data computing, the shipment volume of the industry is anticipated to have grown to over one million units in the fourth quarter of 2017, enjoying two-digit growth year-on-year and sequentially. This is mainly attributed to the pickup in replacement demand following the rollout of several new CPUs. The growth is estimated to continue into the first quarter of 2018.
