The Taiwanese IPC Industry 4Q 2017

The report finds that shipment value of the Taiwanese industrial PC industry grew 16.6% year-on-year to NT$ 178.9 billion (USD 6.09 billion) in 2017 and is estimated to reach NT$200.8 billion (USD 6.83 billion) in 2018. The growth is due largely to the continued robust demand from IoT (Internet of Things), mainly smart factories, smart retail, smart transportation, and intelligent robotics. Industrial PCs have been more widespread in the area of industrial applications, followed by embedded systems, and industrial automation.
