This promotes the production and reorganization of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, thus achieving the effects of skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, pore shrinking, and overall skin quality improvement.
A radiofrequency microneedling machine usually consists of a microneedle handle, an RF generator, a cooling system, and an intelligent control system. The length of the microneedles can be adjusted within the range of 0.5 to 3.5 mm to adapt to different treatment areas and skin thickness requirements. The RF energy is output in the form of monopolar, bipolar, or multipolar, and the frequency mostly focuses in the range of 0.5–6 MHz. It can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, making the skin firmer and more youthful, reducing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and forehead. It also improves skin texture, reduces acne scars and stretch marks, and can perform non-surgical body contouring, reducing stubborn fat while tightening the skin.
There are professional versions used in beauty salons and clinics, which are usually multi-needle arrays with higher power RF and are operated by licensed physicians. There are also home versions, which have lower energy intensity and are safer, suitable for long-term maintenance. It is not suitable for people with severe acne in the outbreak period, open wounds, eczema, dermatitis, and other skin barrier damage problems, as well as those who are allergic to metals. After the treatment, it is necessary to pay attention to skin repair and strict sun protection to avoid skin darkening.
