Due to the solvent-free bulk process, the solvent recovery and treatment costs of solution methods are eliminated, and peroxide initiators are not required, resulting in a lower overall production cost compared to solution grafting. However, the energy consumption at high temperatures (180-220°C) and the investment in process stability due to anti-gelling control are the main cost drivers.
