CWDM Passive Components Optical Filters Market

The CWDM passive components optical filter uses an optical multiplexer at the transmitting end to combine light of different wavelengths into one optical fiber for transmission; at the receiving end of the link, the combined light is decomposed by a demultiplexer and passed through different wavelengths. The fibers are sent to different receivers respectively, so only two fibers can transmit multiple signals. CWDM technology can increase the transmission capacity of the old optical fiber by inserting a new OTU board to expand the capacity, improve the utilization rate of the existing optical fiber resources, and realize the Larger scale data transfer tasks.
Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) is a technology that uses laser light of different wavelengths or colors to multiplex multiple optical signals on one optical fiber to accommodate various signals. By utilizing bi-directional communication over a single fiber, network managers can achieve a multiplier effect of available fiber capacity. There are three main types of WDM sub-technology, namely BWDM, CWDM and DWDM. As the use of the Internet by residential users continues to increase, the demand for WDM solutions in metropolitan areas has become stronger, so CWDM has emerged as a new alternative technology. This technology was quickly adopted by vendors because it uses cheaper transmitters, does not require temperature stabilization and is more spread spectrum. The technology"s two core devices include CWDM-based muxponders/transponders. Many companies also provide solutions for metro areas using ROADM-based network architectures for flexible wavelength routing capabilities. The WDM equipment market is driven by the proliferation of long-haul networks, cloud computing, deployment of WDM equipment in metropolitan area networks, and surge in investment in advanced network infrastructure. However, wavelength leasing (an alternative to leasing of physical links or bit-rate-limited tunnels), disaster recovery, and fiber-optic VPNs restrain the market growth. In addition, telecommunication companies" continuous efforts to upgrade their network infrastructure with performance-enhancing network technologies and increasing investments in long-distance, metro, and access networks across the globe provide numerous opportunities for market expansion. The most significant advantage of using wavelength division multiplexers in fiber optic communications is the lower cost per bit transmitted. Through WDM, it is possible to achieve a data transmission capacity of more than several terabits per second to realize communication over thousands of kilometers. This greatly encourages network service providers to equip their fiber optic networks with WDM. With the increasing network demand for high data transmission speed and capacity, WDM is expected to be widely adopted in glass fiber optic communication in the near future. In addition, WDM enables network service providers to increase the scalability of fiber optics. That is to say, WDM creates multiple virtual fibers within the fiber, which is considered to be the easiest way to expand capacity. The use of WDM allows network service providers to transmit multiple data signals by simply distinguishing wavelengths. This increases the capacity of the network and can be used for many different communication applications.
