Wear-Resistant and Refractory Plastics Market

The wear-resistant and refractory plastics are made of corundum, silicon carbide, and super high-alumina rock as the main raw materials, together with ultra-fine powder, composite binders, additives, and plasticizers. It has good plasticity, long shelf life, and the strength increases with the increase of temperature, which ensures that the plastic has high strength and wear resistance.
Wear-resistant refractory plastic is an important unshaped refractory material, which is widely used in the refractory industry. This kind of plastic is prepared by mixing refractory aggregate, powder, raw clay, chemical compounding agent and admixture. After mixing and extruding into brick shape, it still maintains good plasticity after being packaged and stored for a certain period of time. It can be used by ramming and other construction methods. The wear-resistant and refractory plastic has certain plasticity and can be constructed by tamping or extrusion. It is composed of a refractory material with a certain particle size distribution, a binder and an admixture, and is refined by adding water (or a liquid containing a binder). The plasticity of the plastic is usually expressed by the plasticity index. According to the different main materials, plastics can be divided into different types such as clay, high alumina, silicon, semi-silicon, corundum, zircon, silicon carbide and carbon. Binders can be divided into air-hardening or thermosetting inorganic binders and thermosetting organic binders. Admixtures include plasticizers, preservatives and anti-shrinkage agents. Wear-resistant and refractory plastics are mainly used as linings in various heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, annealing furnaces, sintering furnaces and electric furnace roofs in the iron and steel industry. These equipment and parts work in a high temperature, corrosive and abrasive environment, so they need to have fire resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Wear-resistant and refractory plastic can meet these requirements, and its plasticity makes the construction process more flexible and convenient.
