When the two beams of light are reflected by a fixed reflector and a movable reflector respectively, they will reunite and interfere. Due to the different frequencies of the two beams of light, the interference signal will appear as an AC signal, and its frequency is related to the frequency difference between the two beams of light and the displacement of the movable reflector. The interference signal is converted into an electrical signal by a photoelectric conversion element, and amplified and shaped by an electronic circuit. Finally, by calculating the frequency change or phase change of the interference signal, the displacement of the movable reflector can be accurately measured.
