Semiconductor heat treatment mainly includes oxidation, diffusion and annealing processes. Oxidation is an additive process in which silicon wafers are placed in a high-temperature furnace, and oxygen is added to react with them to form silicon dioxide on the wafer surface. Diffusion is the movement of substances from high-concentration regions to low-concentration regions through molecular thermal motion. The silicon substrate can be doped with specific dopants by the diffusion process, thereby changing the conductivity of the semiconductor. Dopant cannot independently control dopant concentration and junction depth, so it is less and less used now. Annealing is a heating process that causes specific physical and chemical changes to the wafer and adds or removes small amounts of material from the surface of the wafer.

Japanese authorities plan to make solar panels mandatory for new residential buildings in Tokyo from 2025 onwards. It is estimated that by 2030, photovoltaic power generation will account for 14%-16% of Japan"s total power generation, and the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic systems will be about 117.294 GW.
