Myrac aldehyde is a colorless liquid with an aldehyde sweet odor. It made in the presence of Lewis acid, the diene addition reaction between myrcene and acrolein was catalyzed to obtain two mixtures of para-position and interposition. Commonly used as a freshener, flavoring agent , etc.
Citrus aldehyde is a kind of green fragrance, which has a strong smell of citrus leaves and vanilla, and has good chemical stability. It is suitable for fragrances such as soaps and detergents. Under acidic conditions, citral can be hydrated to form lyral. The scientific name of new lilial is 4- or 3-(4-methyl-4-hydroxypentyl)-3-cyclohexenecarbaldehyde. It is a mixture of two isomers. It has a pleasant aroma of lilac and lily, and the 4-position isomer has a better aroma. Citrus aldehydes can be used in citrus, fruity and many floral fragrances. It has a strong influence on bergamot and other citrus notes, including aldehyde top notes. Because it is more stable than general aliphatic aldehydes, it has a wider range of applications. It is very good for scenting soap, and can enhance the freshness of pine needles, lily of the valley, violet, lilac and other daily essences. It can also be used as a masking agent for bad industrial smells. It harmonizes well with cyclohexyl derivatives of ionone and cedarwood. The amount used in the essence can reach 5% to 10%. Generally not for food.
