Chemically, Rubber Antioxidant 77PD belongs to the family of phenolic or amine-based antioxidants, specifically designed for industrial applications where high-performance materials are essential. The compound is typically added during the rubber compounding stage and is compatible with natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), nitrile rubber (NBR), and ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, among others. Its efficiency in prolonging the service life of rubber products makes it a vital additive in manufacturing tires, belts, hoses, seals, and other critical components.
As the aging process progresses and develops, the performance of rubber and its products will gradually decrease and completely lose their use value. In order to extend the service life of rubber products, some substances that can inhibit the aging process should be added to the rubber, thereby extending the storage period and service life of rubber and its products. These substances are called antioxidants. Rubber antioxidants can be divided into: p-phenylenediamine, quinoline, diphenylamine, naphthylamine, phenols and phosphites according to their structure. The new p-phenylenediamine rubber antioxidant 77PD (Rubber Antioxidant 77PD) is suitable for rubber materials that require long-term static anti-ozone protection, such as aircraft tires, engineering tires, agricultural tires, hoses and gaskets and other rubber products; it can be used as an antioxidant and sweetener for fuel; in the polymerization of styrene monomer, p-methylstyrene, divinylbenzene and acrylates, it can be used as an inhibitor. Antioxidant 77PD accelerates the vulcanization of rubber compounds and shortens the scorch time. Large amounts do not require adjustment of the vulcanization system. It can be used alone in static rubber products, but in dynamic applications, it needs to be used in conjunction with antioxidants 4010NA and 4020.
