The piezoelectric buzzer is made of piezoelectric ceramic and produces sound through piezoelectric buzzer blades. It requires electrodes to be plated on both sides of the piezoelectric buzzer blades for electrical conduction. After applying an AC driving signal to the piezoelectric buzzer blades, due to the piezoelectric effect, the piezoelectric buzzer blades will undergo mechanical deformation, stretching and contracting, which can push the metal blades attached to the piezoelectric ceramic blades to vibrate and produce sound. The sound of a piezoelectric buzzer requires the piezoelectric buzzer blade to vibrate back and forth, so it needs to be driven by a square wave signal. Driving a piezoelectric buzzer requires a higher driving voltage to obtain a larger sound. Active buzzers have a positive and negative distinction, and only require voltage signals to be applied to both legs to produce sound. The tone of the sound emitted is fixed at a single frequency. Active buzzers have more oscillation structures inside than passive buzzers, so they are slightly more expensive in price.
