Biocide-free antifouling agent is a type of marine antifouling agents that do not contain toxic biocides in their composition, significantly reducing the harm to the aquatic environment during use. This type of antifouling agent typically employs self-polishing materials and silicone hydrogel materials. The former can prevent the attachment of marine organisms by gradually releasing chemicals from the coating within a certain period of time; while silicone hydrogel materials utilize organic silicone adhesives and organic silicone hydrogel micro-layers to significantly enhance the smoothness of the hull, reduce friction, and make it difficult for marine organisms to adhere to the hull surface.
