A comprehensive ecosystem has emerged: transmitter - light control optics - modules/lenses - receiver/CMOS - and algorithms. On the transmitter side, Lumentum, Coherent (formerly II-VI, including Finisar assets), ams OSRAM, TRUMPF Photonic Components, and Vertilite offer VCSEL/dot matrix/flood illuminator solutions for mobile phones, meeting the demands of the mainstream 940nm wavelength band, higher dot counts, and power/cost ratios. In the light control and filtering stages, VIAVI offers low-angle drift (LAS) near-infrared narrowband filters to enhance ToF/structured light immunity, Alluxa provides ultra-narrowband hard-coated filters to improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and RPC Photonics uses engineered diffusers for VCSEL dot matrix/flood illuminator shaping and consistent output. These factors contribute to system efficiency, eye safety, and imaging stability. On the module and lens side, Sunny Optical and OFILM are mass-producing 3D sensing/ToF camera modules. Largan maintains its leading position in high-end mobile phone lenses, a key factor in 3D camera image quality and yield. On the receiver side and silicon chip side, STMicroelectronics' VL53 series ToF sensors are widely used in mobile phones, and Texas Instruments provides ToF imaging chipsets and reference designs, driving adoption and cost optimization for the Android ecosystem. Meanwhile, the industry chain is undergoing consolidation and upgrading: ams acquired Heptagon to strengthen its micro-optics/packaging capabilities, and Coherent integrated Finisar/II-VI assets to strengthen its VCSEL capabilities, resulting in tighter device-package-system synergy and faster product iterations.
