AC Balanced Bridge Market

The AC balanced bridge consists of four arms, each of which can be a resistor, capacitor or inductor. When the bridge reaches a balanced state, the current detected by the galvanometer (or the electronic detection circuit in the modern bridge) is zero, which means that the difference in voltage between the two arms is zero. At this time, the output voltage of the bridge is also zero, that is, the bridge is in a balanced state, which is called an AC balanced bridge. For an AC bridge, its balance condition can be expressed as the product of the impedances (complex form, including resistance and reactance) of the two arms is equal. By adjusting the value of one or more known components in the bridge until the bridge reaches a balanced state, that is, the galvanometer indicates zero, the value of the unknown component can be calculated from the value of the known component. The AC balanced bridge can measure various AC impedances, such as the capacitance of capacitors and the inductance of inductors. In addition, it can also use the correlation between the balance condition and frequency to measure other physical quantities related to capacitance and inductance, such as mutual inductance, magnetic permeability of magnetic materials, dielectric loss of capacitors, dielectric constant and power supply frequency.
