A spent fuel tank transport container comprises: a container body, comprising an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder covering the inner cylinder, wherein the inner cylinder is provided with a guide rail; a top cover, mounted on the top of the container body via an upper flange; and a penetration cover, detachably mounted on the bottom of the container body via a lower flange; wherein an upper buffer pad is provided between the top cover and the spent fuel tank located in the inner cylinder, and a lower buffer pad is provided between the penetration cover and the spent fuel tank located in the inner cylinder.
