Thermoelectric Coolers(TEC)are solid-state devices that utilize the Peltier effect to transfer heat between two surfaces when an electric current is applied. They consist of multiple pairs of p-type and n-type semiconductor materials connected electrically in series and thermally in parallel. Multi-stage TEC achieve a larger temperature difference (e.g., 110~130°C) by stacking multiple layers of thermoelectric stacks (e.g., three stages), but the structure is more complex and the cost is correspondingly higher.
