Molecular sieve, also known as zeolite or zeolite foam, has functions such as adsorption, ion exchange, and catalysis. Molecular sieves are a type of inorganic non-metallic porous crystal materials with large specific surface area, regular pore structure, and controllable functional units. They can effectively separate and select molecules with different activation diameters, polarities, boiling points, and saturation levels of organic hydrocarbon molecules. They have the functions of "screening molecules" and "shape selective catalysis". Molecular sieves have excellent adsorption, ion exchange, and catalytic properties, and are widely used as adsorption materials, ion exchange materials, and catalytic materials. Among them, adsorption materials are mainly used for the separation, purification, and drying of various gases in industrial and environmental fields; Ion exchange materials are mainly used in the treatment of detergent additives, Radioactive waste and waste liquid; Catalytic materials are mainly used in a large number of industrial catalytic processes in the fields of petroleum refining and processing, petrochemical industry, coal chemical industry, and fine chemical industry. A-type molecular sieves have a high affinity for water and are often used as highly effective adsorbents. A-type molecular sieves can be subdivided into 3A/4A/5A molecular sieves, with corresponding pore sizes of 0.3/0.4/0.5 nm. They can adsorb gas molecules with molecular diameters smaller than the pore size, and the larger the pore size, the greater the adsorption capacity.
