Phenolic Microspheres are a filler that is hollow, purple-brown microscopic phenolic speheres. Low density filler. Is ideal for creating a low-density Fairing Compound. When added to epoxy resin, phenolic microballoons have a strong strength-to-weight compound that is easy to sand.
Phenolic resin is widely used in industry because of its easy availability, low price, convenient synthesis and excellent physical and chemical properties. Such as phenolic resin as matrix, glass fiber, carbon fiber or paper as reinforcing materials, high temperature curing and molding can be made of new phenolic resin-based composite materials, including light core steel, modified phenolic fireproof thermal insulation panels, phenolic resin hollow microspheres and phenolic SMC and high-end phenolic glass fiber reinforced plastic, and so on. Phenolic resin-based composite materials as internal decorative and structural materials for rail transportation, ships, aircraft, automobiles, building energy efficiency and other industries, energy saving, weight reduction and speed, sound insulation, noise reduction, fire retardant, corrosion resistance, thermal protection provides a safer and more reliable protection, and can reduce the number of braking materials, wheels, light rail maintenance. Phenolic hollow microspheres are made of phenolic resin through a series of deep processing, with small particle size, low density, low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal stability and other characteristics, with good thermal insulation and excellent ablative properties. The ablative anti-heat material of the return capsule of the spacecraft containing phenolic hollow microspheres can withstand high temperature of thousands of degrees, which can effectively isolate the return capsule from the huge heat generated by the intense friction with the atmosphere and prevent the heat from entering into the interior of the capsule, thus guaranteeing the safety of the astronauts and the normal operation of the equipments and instruments.
