Downstream, Cu pastes are widely used to build thick printed copper circuits on ceramic power substrates (e.g., alumina/AlN) via screen printing followed by drying and nitrogen firing, and Cu pastes/powders are also used in sintered die-attach/interconnect for power modules (including SiC devices) to achieve high thermal/electrical performance. In addition, copper powders (often flake-type or surface-treated) are used in printed electronics and in emerging PV metallization routes using screen-printable Cu-based pastes/seed layers.
