Microfocus X-Ray Sources can be divided into open X-ray tubes and closed X-ray tubes according to different sealing methods. The open X-ray tube needs to be continuously evacuated during use, and the closed X-ray tube is evacuated to a certain extent when the X-ray tube is produced, and then sealed immediately, and there is no need to evacuate again during use.
Closed X-ray sources are cheaper than open X-ray sources.
The service life is different, and the lower-priced closed X-ray source has a longer service life, usually exceeding 10,000 hours; while the service life of the open micro-focus X-ray source is only one-tenth of the closed X-ray source.
The price is high, and the open X-ray source with short life can bring more powerful performance advantages. It has higher tube voltage, smaller focus size, and larger ray cone angle. And the ray cone angle of the open X-ray source can exceed 150 degrees. The FOD of the open X-ray source is only 0.5-1mm.
