Common fluorescent proteins include green fluorescent protein (GFP), red fluorescent protein (RFP), etc. Different fluorescent proteins require excitation light of different wavelengths. For example, green fluorescent protein usually requires blue light or ultraviolet light to be excited. The excitation light source can be a portable fluorescent protein excitation observation lamp, an excitation light source that comes with a fluorescence microscope, etc. The working principle of the fluorescent protein excitation observation system is based on the characteristic that fluorescent proteins emit fluorescence under the irradiation of an excitation light source. When the light emitted by the excitation light source shines on the fluorescent protein, the fluorescent protein absorbs the light energy and transitions to an excited state, and then releases fluorescence when it returns from the excited state to the ground state. These fluorescences can be observed through observation equipment, thereby realizing the observation of fluorescent proteins.
