The airbag chip is a key component of the airbag system and plays a vital role in the safety performance of the car. When a car collides, the acceleration sensor will quickly sense the acceleration change caused by the collision and transmit this signal to the airbag chip through the bus. After receiving the signal, the airbag chip will quickly process and analyze the signal to determine whether the intensity of the collision has reached the threshold to trigger the deployment of the airbag. If the judgment result is that the airbag needs to be deployed, the chip will send an instruction to the ignition drive circuit, and the ignition drive circuit will release current to ignite the chemical substances in the airbag, causing the airbag to expand and deploy instantly to protect the safety of the driver and passengers. The whole process needs to be completed in a very short time, usually within tens of milliseconds.
The airbag system is a passive safety protection system that works with seat belts to provide effective anti-collision protection for passengers. In the event of a car collision, the airbag can reduce the rate of head injuries by 25% and the rate of facial injuries by about 80%. The airbag chip is the control core of the entire system and integrates the functions of all peripheral systems: digital collision sensor interface, ignition circuit drive for airbag deployment, a large number of safety and diagnostic mechanisms for continuous monitoring of system availability, etc.
With the continuous development of the automotive industry, especially the rapid growth of new energy vehicles and smart cars, the demand for airbag chips continues to increase.
