Future district heating will evolve along three main lines: "low-carbonization, digitalization, and diversification": At the heat source end, zero-carbon substitution will be accelerated—solar energy, geothermal energy, biomass, and waste heat from data centers/power plants will be coupled with electric heat pumps to form a low-carbon heat source combination of "waste heat + heat pump" base load and renewable energy peak shaving.
