Oil for Embryo Culture is a sterile light mineral to use as an overlay when culturing small volumes of culture media to prevent evaporation and to protect from changes in osmolality or pH during the gametes manipulation.
In vitro fertilization culture oil is a special type of medium used to grow and protect eggs and embryos during in vitro fertilization (IVF). It is a special sterile liquid that provides the necessary nutrients and growth environment for eggs and embryos to promote their development and maturation. In the process of in vitro fertilization, after the egg and sperm are combined in vitro to form a fertilized egg, it needs to be placed in a specific medium for cultivation. In vitro fertilization oil is an important part of this and is usually placed on top of the Petri dish to form a protective oil layer. This layer of oil helps maintain the stability and temperature of the culture environment, prevents liquid evaporation and gas exchange, and provides the nutrients needed by the cells.
