Catalytic Combustion Methane Detector Market

The catalytic combustion methane detector is an instrument that uses the principle of carrier thermal catalytic combustion to measure the methane concentration in the air. The catalytic combustion methane detector consists of a carrier catalytic element to form a measuring bridge. When there is methane gas in the environment where the detector is located, methane produces flameless combustion on the surface of the catalytic element, causing the resistance value of the carrier catalytic detection element to change, thereby unbalancing the bridge circuit and generating a signal output. The signal output value is linearly proportional to the methane content, thereby realizing the monitoring and alarm of the methane content.
The catalytic combustion methane detector is mainly used for the measurement and alarm of methane content in coal mines. When the methane concentration reaches the set alarm value, the instrument can send an alarm signal to remind relevant personnel to take safety measures.
