Plastic structured packing is an important series of non-metallic structured packing, currently mainly made of polypropylene (PP), which can withstand temperatures up to 100 ℃; Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), operating temperature up to 150 ℃, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), etc. Plastic regular packing has a similar structure to metal regular packing. The main advantages of plastic regular packing are light weight, corrosion resistance, easy molding, high flux, low pressure drop, and large specific surface area. The disadvantage is that it has poor wetting performance and is usually suitable for lower temperatures. In 2024, global Plastic Structured Packing production reached approximately 132 K MT, with an average global market price of around US$ 3,852 per MT.A single production line has a capacity of 1000 tons and a gross profit margin of around 40%.
Upstream raw materials: polypropylene (PP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), etc.

Plastic structured packing is a packing material arranged in a uniform geometric shape and neatly stacked inside the tower. Plastic regular packing is the second developed regular packing material, followed by metal regular packing material. The surface of this type of packing is pressed with specially designed small patterns, and the shape of the corrugated plate is an improved type of ripple. The plastic regular packing has small holes on the packing sheet to improve mass transfer efficiency. If the requirements are not high, the holes can be omitted to increase the stiffness of the plate. Suitable for processes with large liquid loads and high operating pressures. The performance is equivalent to that of corrugated packing for metal orifice plates of the same size.
Plastic structured packing includes honeycomb inclined tube, straight tube, plastic plate corrugated packing, and plastic wire mesh corrugated packing, etc
(1) Honeycomb inclined tube: This product is mainly used for water purification, sand removal and accelerated sedimentation of domestic sewage, oil separation, and tailings concentration, and is an excellent water purification filler.
(2) Honeycomb straight pipe: This product is mainly used as a microbial carrier in contact oxidation tanks, biological filtration towers, and biological turntables, for biochemical treatment of industrial organic wastewater or urban domestic sewage. It can also be used as a filling material for chemical towers, cooling towers, etc.
(3) Plastic board corrugated and wire mesh corrugated packing: This product is mainly used in various industries such as gas purification, environmental protection, and separation and purification. It has the advantages of light weight, large capacity, low pressure drop, high specific surface area, and easy replacement.
