Electric Angle seat valves are valves where a spindle under an angle moves the seal in a linear motion towards or away from the valve seat. The valves can be manually operated by means of a screw spindle, or air operated by a piston that moves in an air cylinder. The valve generally closes in the same direction as the flow direction. There are special versions where the valve closes against the flow direction, in order to reduce the risk of water hammer.
