TiO₂ produced by this vapor-phase method not only has a short synthesis cycle, is compatible with continuous production equipment, and eliminates mother liquor contamination, but also exhibits excellent thermochemical stability and photocatalytic properties.
Vapor-phase nano-titanium dioxide is produced upstream from titanium concentrate, supplied by Tronox, Toho Titanium, and RTI International Metals. Its downstream application is in coatings, with representatives from PPG, AkzoNobel, and Sherwin-Williams. It is also used in cosmetics by companies such as L'Oréal and Shiseido.
