Eddy current sensor is a sensing device based on eddy current mutual inductance effect, which can realize high-precision detection of internal defects and trace displacement of the measured object. The split eddy current sensor is a sensor used for non-contact measurement of parameters such as surface defects, thickness, size and material properties of metal parts. It utilizes the principle of eddy currents to perform measurements and is commonly used in industrial applications such as quality control, material testing, and structural health monitoring. The principle of eddy current is based on Faraday"s law of electromagnetic induction. When the surface of a metal part is in a changing magnetic field, an eddy current will be generated on the metal surface. The properties of these eddy currents are affected by the metal material and surface imperfections, and information about the properties of the metal part can be obtained by measuring changes in the eddy currents.
