In terms of general parameters, the nominal diameter is commonly DN8–DN65 (down to DN6 for small process pipelines, and up to DN80–DN100 for large ones), and the nominal pressure is mostly PN16–PN40 or ANSI Class 150/300. Applicable media include compressed air, water, steam, slightly corrosive media, and some food-grade/pharmaceutical media. The normal operating temperature range is −10~+180 ℃ (with high-temperature resistant seals such as PTFE/modified). PTFE can withstand temperatures up to 180–220 ℃, and even higher for high-temperature steam applications. Valve body connections include threaded (G, NPT), welded (butt welding/socket welding), clamp/quick-fit, flange, etc. Sealing materials are mostly PTFE, reinforced PTFE, EPDM, FKM, etc. Flow direction can be designed as "bottom inlet, top outlet" or "top inlet, bottom outlet" to adapt to different closing forces and water hammer requirements. The actuation method is mainly pneumatic piston, commonly two-position two-way, normally closed/normally open type. The control signal is 3–8 bar compressed air drive. It can also be equipped with electromagnetic pilot valves and position feedback switches, and is used for rapid opening and closing and medium-precision regulation in food and beverage, steam pipelines, CIP/SIP, general industrial fluid and process automation systems.
