Dedicated Hybrid Transmission, or DHT, is a dedicated hybrid transmission. It essentially uses electric drive to perform its functions, such as regulating the rotational speed and torque of the internal combustion engine during operation of the vehicle. This means that the electrically driven automotive components receive central tasks in the DHT system and are a central component of this design. This is also the fundamental difference between DHT drives and traditional "additional drive solutions".
DHT adopts dual-motor hybrid technology, which can achieve a balance of high efficiency and high performance in the full speed range and in all scenarios. Because the DHT hybrid has two drive systems, namely the electric drive system in pure electric mode + the traditional fuel drive system. Both systems can directly drive the wheels, so they can realize various hybrid forms such as series, parallel and pure electric EV.
The dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) market has broad development prospects in the future. On the one hand, with the continuous advancement of technology and reduction of costs, DHT will become the choice of more automobile manufacturers and is widely used in various types of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, etc. On the other hand, the government"s emphasis on environmental protection policies will also promote the popularity of DHT. Stricter emission standards may be introduced in the future, putting traditional transmissions under greater pressure. DHT can meet these standards and gain greater market space.
