Semi-solid mobile phone batteries are a new battery technology between liquid batteries and solid-state batteries. Its main feature is that the electrode on either side of the battery does not contain liquid electrolyte, while the electrode on the other side contains liquid electrolyte, or the mass or volume of the solid electrolyte in the monomer accounts for half of the total mass or volume of the electrolyte in the monomer. This design makes semi-solid batteries significantly improved compared to traditional liquid batteries in terms of energy density, safety, and charge and discharge speed. The positive and negative electrodes of a semi-solid battery are composed of three parts: liquid electrolyte, solid electrode and electrolyte gel. Among them, electrolyte gel serves as a medium to transfer lithium ions inside the battery. This structure enables the semi-solid battery to have a high ion transport speed, allowing for fast charging and discharging. At the same time, due to the use of gel electrolyte, semi-solid batteries also avoid the risk of liquid electrolyte leakage and improve safety.
