A Li-ion E-Bike is an electric bicycle that uses a lithium-ion battery as the power source. A lithium-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery that has a high energy density, long cycle life, and fast charging capability. A Li-ion E-Bike can have different types of propulsion systems, such as pedal assist, speed pedelec, or throttle assist. A pedal assist system provides electric power only when the rider pedals, while a speed pedelec system provides electric power up to a certain speed limit. A throttle assist system allows the rider to control the electric power with a handlebar-mounted throttle.
China"s policy on lithium-ion batteries mainly focuses on lithium-ion batteries. In 2015, in order to strengthen the management of lithium-ion battery industry and improve the development level of the industry, China formulated the Standard of Lithium-ion Battery Industry. the global sales of new energy vehicles reached 10.8 million units in 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 61.6%.
