The millisecond furnace, also known as the millisecond cracking furnace, is a tubular cracking furnace for the thermal cracking of hydrocarbons with ultra-short residence time to produce ethylene. The working principle of the millisecond furnace is to feed the hydrocarbon raw materials into the radiation section of the cracking furnace for high-temperature cracking to produce cracking gas. The cracking gas is then sent to the quencher for rapid cooling to terminate the cracking reaction and prevent the occurrence of secondary reactions. Finally, chemical products such as ethylene are obtained through steps such as separation and purification. The millisecond furnace has a wide range of applications in the ethylene production industry. Its efficient cracking process and excellent ethylene yield make it one of the important equipment for ethylene production.
