In a continuous flow reactor, the reactants are continuously input and the reaction products are continuously output, which can effectively reduce the residence time of the materials, reduce the possibility of side reactions, and improve the selectivity and yield of the reaction. The technological leadership of the continuous flow microchannel reactor is reflected in the "micro" and reasonable design of its channel structure and flow mode. Its internal structure is mainly composed of micron-level (usually 10 to 300μm) channels. The design of parallel or cross-arranged microchannels greatly increases the contact area between the reactants and the catalyst, and the reaction rate is increased. And reduce the mass transfer and heat transfer resistance during the reaction process. Finally, the catalyst is added to the channel and the reaction conditions such as temperature and pressure are controlled to form a complete continuous flow microchannel reactor.
